Melinda has been sewing since she was nine years old.  She is a retired Home Economics teacher as was her mother; so sewing is just a way of life for her.  Melinda completed her Bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University and completed her Masters degree from the University of Central Oklahoma.  Many, many students have passed through Melinda's sewing classes.  Beginning and adult classes at the Oklahoma County Extension Offices and 11 years in public schools have given many men and women the opportunity to learn the art of sewing.  Melinda is also a quilt judge and has given many hours to the Oklahoma State Fair competitions as a judge for Oklahoma County.  She has also judged for Logan and Tulsa counties.  Age or experience is of no concern for Melinda as she has taught sewing to all ages and expeerience levels.  She enjoys the challenge with patience and great communication skills.
