We love SEWING and FASHION so naturally we LOVE the whole sewing scene. We want to get you involved, too.
The Cloth Merchants provide the pathway to sewing in many forms. Are you a speed sewer? We can steer you to patterns that can be sewn quickly. Are you one who enjoys the slow steady progress to your proudest sewing achievement. We know how to create couture garments. We invite you to travel this path with us.
We Love Sewing
Nancy Cain is Co-Owner of The Cloth Merchants, and is a Certified Sewing Instructor. She has been sewing since she started grade school, and participated in 4H and the Make It With Wool contest. She loved sewing so much she took all the classes in Clothing that were offered in her college just for fun.
Debbie Mocnik is Co-Owner of The Cloth Merchants, and is an avid and prolific sewer. She learned to fit herself from Nancy and also when they both attended the Palmer/Pletsch Fit Class. Now a Certified Sewing Instructor, she teaches along with Nancy. Debbie, as does Nancy, makes pretty much everything she wears. She would much rather spend her time making her garments than spending hours upon hours shopping for garments that just don't fit! Debbie started sewing at an early age and persuaded her mother to pay for sewing lessons for her. She also worked in a fabric store as a teenager.
